McMillan Mastiffs
McMillan Mastiffs is a dog training and board-and-train business. The project focused on rebuilding the website from a cluttered, blog-style setup into a clear, program-driven experience that communicates services, builds trust, and reduces friction for new inquiries.
The previous site had an e-commerce structure with heavy plugin bloat and unclear navigation. Content and media were inconsistent, making it difficult for visitors to understand programs like board-and-train, obedience, dog school, and private sessions.
The homepage was restructured as modular sections that guide visitors from introduction to program discovery and contact. Messaging was organized around McMillan’s core promise: building a trusting relationship between handler and dog through patience, consistency, and confidence.
The original site relied on an e-commerce stack and excessive plugins. The rebuild reduced the plugin footprint to a lean set (approximately five core plugins), improving maintainability and performance while keeping the site easy for the client to update.
Result: faster load, fewer conflicts, and a cleaner admin experience.
In addition to the website rebuild, I created supporting assets used in real operations and marketing: a vehicle wrap, print banners, and a fillable invoice template. These materials extended the brand into the physical world and improved day-to-day business workflow.
McMillan Mastiffs now has a clear, program-focused website that communicates services and builds trust quickly — paired with supporting brand assets that strengthen presentation online and in-person.
